Driver’s license

To drive a car on the island of Crete, in our company BEST CHOICE, persons over 21 years old with a driving experience, at the time of renting a car, are allowed for at least two years.

An exception is the rental of minibuses (minivans): seven-seater and nine-seater cars.  Driver must be over 24 years old with at least 3 years of driving experience

To get a car for rent, in our company, it is enough to have a regular driver’s license with you, i.e.  national certificate issued in Russia / Ukraine / Belarus and other countries of the CIS / EU or the USA

If you wish, in addition to the main document, you can take with you an international driver’s license, which is actually a translation of the usual national rights.

Insurance

All cars in our Best Choice company are insured under the Ultra-full insurance system (the most complete type of insurance available, similar to Russian CASCO + OSAGO), which covers the entire car, WITHOUT exceptions and reservations, such as for example: Chassis, wheels, mirrors and the bottom of the car.  Car theft is also included in the insurance.  Full insurance regardless of the damage caused.

Car rental with Best Choice:

• No franchise
• Without collateral
• No payment for idle days (in the event of an accident, we do not take money from our customers for the days required to restore the car, we provide another car)
• Without blocking funds on your credit card

Our insurances include the following:

FDW – Full insurance against all risks – no deductible – no deposit

CDW – Full insurance including accidents – zero deductible – no deposit

WUG – Wheels, tires, glass and mirrors, as well as the body and bottom of the car

TP – In case of theft

PAI – Personal Insurance

Best Choice provides a free road map of Crete, a child car seat and a baby booster

If the keys to the car are lost, the tenant is obliged to reimburse the costs associated with their replacement or search.

For the second driver, an additional fee is charged depending on the category of car, payment is made on the spot.

Pan-European car insurance exclusions:

• Leaving the scene of an accident without notifying the company
• Being in a state of one of the types of intoxication (alcoholic / narcotic / psychotropic)
• Crossing an intersection at a prohibitory traffic light
• When driving off-road.

Mileage

Unlimited mileage, no limits

Fuel policy

When concluding a rental agreement, we fix the level of fuel that is in the tank at the time you receive the car.  You must leave the same fuel level at the end of your car rental in Crete.

At the same time, we do not take any deposits when renting a car in our Best Choice company.
